Autumn is the finest hiking season – provided your boots play along. Golden light, clear air, firm ground: the Erzgebirge, Saxon Switzerland and the Fichtelgebirge are at their very best right now. It is just a shame when your toe starts pinching or your heel burns after two hours.

The problem is rarely the boot – it is the foot

Hiking boots are built for an average foot. Yours, however, is probably not average: a little wider at the ball, a pronounced instep, a bunion, a pressure point at the ankle. Instead of you getting used to the boot, we adapt the boot to you.

How the fitting works

  • Foot analysis – we look at your foot, stance and roll-off and find the actual cause of the discomfort
  • Targeted adjustment – on two specialist machines we widen, stretch and shape the boot exactly where needed
  • Fine tuning – insole, lacing and fit are matched to one another
  • Test walk – you only leave once it fits

Also for boots you already own

You do not have to buy new ones. Bring along your existing hiking boots – in many cases we get exactly that one spot under control which is spoiling your hike. That is often the most economical and most sustainable solution.

Now is the right moment

A fitted boot needs breaking in. If you want to walk your autumn tours free of complaints, it is best to come to us before the big hike – not afterwards.

Fittings are by appointment only, so that we can take our time for you:
