We measure how you really move. Professional gait analysis is the heart of honest running shoe advice. Instead of guessing, at Sport Meisel we capture your foot and your running style objectively – and from that we determine which shoe truly suits you.

Professional gait analysis with SHOOIQ

With the SHOOIQ system we capture, measurably and objectively, how you run: foot strike, roll-off phase, pronation or supination, stride length and load distribution. From this data we determine which shoe type – neutral, supportive or cushioned – suits your running style.

3D foot scan: your foot to the millimetre

The 3D foot scan measures your foot precisely in length, width, ball circumference and arch. This reveals whether you have a wide, narrow, high or flat foot – the basis for the right last shape and size.

Treadmill & video analysis in slow motion

On the treadmill we record your movement on video and study it in slow motion. This reveals what stays hidden at normal speed: how does the foot strike? Does it roll inward? How stable is the movement? That is the honest, data-based foundation for the shoe recommendation.

What the analysis measures

  • Foot strike & roll-off phase
  • Pronation / overpronation & supination
  • Stride length and cadence
  • Load distribution and pressure zones
  • Foot shape, arch and leg axis

The gait analysis is the basis for the individual fitting of your shoe and helps specifically with complaints. It is part of our consultation – by appointment only.

Frequently asked questions about gait analysis

How long does a gait analysis take?

Allow enough time for anamnesis, 3D foot scan, treadmill video analysis and evaluation. We’ll tell you the exact framework when you book.

Do I need to bring anything?

Ideally your current running shoes and functional sportswear you can move normally in.

Is the gait analysis possible without buying shoes?

Just ask us – we discuss the procedure and terms when you book.

What is the SHOOIQ system?

SHOOIQ captures your running style measurably and objectively: foot strike, roll-off, pronation, stride length and load distribution.

What does the 3D foot scan measure?

Length, width, ball circumference and arch to the millimetre – the basis for the right last shape and size.

What do I see in the treadmill video analysis?

Your movement in slow motion: how the foot strikes, whether it rolls inward and how stable the motion is.

What’s the difference between pronation and overpronation?

Pronation is the natural inward roll of the foot; overpronation is an excessive inward roll that needs targeted support.

Is the analysis useful for beginners too?

Yes. Especially at the start it shows which shoe suits you and prevents misalignment.

Do I need my own shoes for the analysis?

Bring them along – from your worn shoes we read wear patterns and load zones.
