Ski service in Saxony: the grinding machines are running again
Our Reichmann SF-4 has been fully serviced and is running again. That means we are taking in skis and snowboards for service once more — at all six of our stores in Saxony and Bavaria. And because the machine has time now and won’t in December, there is 20 % off for early birds until 30 September.

Why a grinding machine is serviced in summer
A grinding machine is not something you switch on and leave running. The stone wears down, the dressing diamonds go blunt, the belt guides drift out of line. Start that work in January and you are grinding skis for customers who are waiting for their gear.
So we do it now: stone dressed, belts replaced, guides realigned, test runs completed. The result is a structure that actually is what it is meant to be.
The early-bird discount until 30 September
20 % off the full ski and snowboard service, up to and including 30 September 2026. No code, no sign-up — just bring your skis in. The discount applies to base service, stone grinding, edge work and hot waxing.
The honest reason: in December the skis stand in rows at our workshop, and “ready tomorrow” quickly becomes “next week”. Coming now spreads our work across the year — and you get something back for it.
What the service includes
- Base & stone grinding — filling scratches, cutting a fresh structure
- Edge sharpening and tuning — side and base edge exactly on point
- Hot wax — ironed in at the right temperature, not just rubbed on
- Scraping & polishing — so the base really glides
- Binding check and adjustment — on request, to your current weight and skier type
Where to drop off your skis
You can drop off and collect at any of our six stores: Limbach-Oberfrohna, Mittweida, Lichtenau near Chemnitz (Olipark), Schwarzenberg, Aue and Marktredwitz. The grinding itself is done centrally at our workshop in Limbach-Oberfrohna.
Frequently asked questions
How long does a ski service take?
Outside the season your skis are usually ready the next day. In December and January it takes considerably longer — which is exactly why the early-bird discount exists.
Is a ski service worth it in summer?
Yes. A freshly waxed base survives storage better, because the wax protects it from drying out. You can put the skis away straight after the service and simply ski in winter.
Do you service snowboards too?
Yes, on the same machine and with the same process. The same goes for touring, freeride, carving, cross-country and children’s skis.
Is there a ski service near Chemnitz?
Our store at the Olipark in Lichtenau sits right outside Chemnitz and takes in skis for service. The grinding is done at our workshop in Limbach-Oberfrohna.
Until when does the discount apply?
Up to and including 30 September 2026. After that our regular service prices apply.
