This trip wonderfully combines two pleasures: hiking in the charming landscape of southern Lake Garda and tasting select wines of the region. Your base is the Hotel San Zeno in San Zeno di Montagna with a marvellous lake view, pool and solarium.
The hikes lead through silver-grey olive groves from Torri del Benaco to Garda – including a 35-metre suspension bridge –, up Monte Baldo, the “Garden of Europe”, into the Rocca di Manerba nature reserve and into the famous Valpolicella wine region. Three wine tastings with small snacks round off the programme: Bardolino, Valtenesi Garda Classico DOC and the noble Amarone.
Along the way you enjoy a cable-car ride from Malcesine up Monte Baldo and a ferry crossing from Torri del Benaco to Maderno. Travel is by comfort coach from Saxony/Ore Mountains with free home pick-up.

2 Day 2 · Torri del Benaco to Garda
Panoramic hike through olive groves; incl. a 35-metre suspension bridge; finishing with a Bardolino wine tasting at a traditional winery.
3 Day 3 · Monte Baldo
Cable-car ride up the “Garden of Europe”; hike on old mule tracks with lake views; exploration of Malcesine in the afternoon.
